Here is a Collector Clean and Original 1969 Fender Mustang in Competition Red with Matching Headstock. Not only is this a clean example but it also has a Super Cool original factory installed 1965 dated Slab Fingerboard Neck. In the late 1960s Fender started to use up their left over back stock of parts. Instruments like the Swinger and Maverick were attempts to use up these parts. This December 1965 dated neck was obviously left over and used for this instrument. It got a Matching Headstock Candy Apple Red Finish. The original Kluson pilot holes can be seen under the tuners with the lower visible factory filled. The guitar features the signature Competition Racing Stripe on the Body, Two Single Coil Pickups, Pearloid Pickguard, Tremolo, 1966 Dated Pots, and a Large Rounded Neck Profile (.87" 1st fret to .90" 12th fret). Nice and Light weight at 6.95 Pounds. The guitar is in remarkable "Under the Bed" cosmetic condition. It has some small dings and scratches but is overall very tidy. Included is the Original Hardshell Case, Tremolo Arm, and Bridge Cover.
