An icon of rock music that we’ve brought back to life with meticulous attention to detail, following the specifications of its early years. The various body shapes and neck profiles from 1957 to 1960 served as the models for the Lester series, which is crafted in our workshop into visual and artisanal masterpieces.

Over the past 60 years, hordes of guitarists have redefined that magical sound time and again—whether it’s Page, Green, Frampton, Sykes, Moore, or Slash—anything is possible. “It has to sound vintage but alive—gently nasal, but please with tight bass and a silky sheen in the highs,” is what we often hear regarding the desired pickups. The hand-wound AMBER pickups capture exactly that earthy rock sound with which the great guitarists of recent decades have repeatedly sent shivers down our spines. A good guitar, a good amp, and you’ve got it all! By the way: a solid mahogany body complete with hardware can really take a toll on even a well-trained guitarist’s back. That’s why every MAYBACH Lester has a clear mandate: under 4 kilos! Without the case, of course—though one is included with every MAYBACH guitar! Carefully selected woods and a weight relief system cleverly designed for optimal tone delivery bring the Lester to a comfortably portable weight.
