Only one more available in stock! This one comes with the original box from Japan!
This fuzz face is dated to 1994 and is equipped with (red dot) NKT275 transistors that clean up extraordinarily well.
The photos above faithfully reflect the condition of the fuzz face. All parts are 100% original unless otherwise noted.
All units have been tested and cared for.
I have owned and sold countless Fuzz Faces over the years, and with more than 30 JHF2s in my collection, I only keep the units I believe sound truly exceptional. Each pedal has a piece of painters tape on the back with handwritten notes detailing its unique sonic characteristics - a necessity when comparing this many units. This particular example stood out to me as noticeably better than the average JHF2.
According to my notes on the back this fuzz:
" is from 1994 and has the Foxey lady sound when maxed out ( I.e, volume and fuzz turned all the way up) The sweet spot is volume maxed out with the fuzz at the 3 o'clock position. Has a huge amount of gain on tap and can produce thick clean tones (when rolling back the volume). Nasty on single coils. beefy on Humbuckers "
I have added a battery clip inside to secure the 9v from rattling around. it's attached with a small piece of velcro. It's a nice touch.
These Blue 90s Dunlop fuzz faces were only available from Japan as far as I can tell. They're not easy to come by in the U.S.
Will include 2 rubber knob covers
