We are selling this cool and vintage Yamaha DD-14 Drum Machine made in Japan in 1993 with a compatible power supply!

A very rare unit, it's a true collector piece! With 8 pads that can be programmed to give you your personal drum kit. Great sound, has headphone socket and MIDI connection!

CONDITION: The unit is fully working and in very good cosmetical conditions with some minor traces of use due to its age! Tested and working great! It comes with a compatible power supply (alternatively, it is designed to operate also with 6 C-type batteries; however, this has not been tested). The unit works perfectly when powered with the included adapter! Real vintage gem: grab a bargain!

DESCRIPTION: The Yamaha DD-14 has eight percussion pads. There are many different percussion sets that can be selected according to your musical requirements. Rhythm Accompaniment: The DD-14 has numerous built-in rhythm patterns covering an extremely wide range of styles and musical genres.

You can select and play back any of these rhythm styles and play along on the percussion pads.

This is a really nice unit, known for its unique features and versatility.

One of its standout functions is the “Minus One” feature, which allows you to mute a drum sound currently playing in a pattern. For example, if a hi-hat is active in the pattern, pressing the corresponding pad will silence it in real time.

The Chord Memory offers two entry modes:

• A real-time, quantized recording mode where each pad (or combination of pads) triggers chord variations such as Major, Minor, 7th, Minor 7th, Major 7th, 7sus4, m7-5, and diminished.

• A step recording mode where you can input chords sequentially and define their duration (whole, half, quarter, or eighth notes).

Above the control panel there is a touch-sensitive strip called the “Scraper”. By running your fingers across it, you can play harmonized notes in a style similar to instruments like the Omnichord or Autoharp. It can also be used creatively as a scratch pad, drum roll controller, solo performance surface, or bell tree effect!

There is also a MIDI In and Out Connection (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a world standard communication interface that allows MIDI compatible musical instruments and equipment to share musical information and control one another.
