The Maxon DE-F1 is a compact digital delay pedal from the Fire Blade series, designed to deliver clean, noise-free delay effects in a rugged and accessible format. It offers delay times ranging from approximately 170ms to 400ms and features intuitive controls for shaping the delay behavior. The DE-F1 is suitable for use with electric guitar and integrates easily into pedalboards through its standard I/O and 9V DC power input.

The pedal includes a clear LED indicator for effect status and battery monitoring. Delay voicings can be tailored using four knobs: Delay Time, Repeat, Delay Level, and an additional input level indicator. The enclosure includes a hinged footswitch section for battery compartment access, with examples of common settings such as Room Ambience, Doubling, Sustain Delay, and Slapback shown in the manual.
