Offered for sale is a late-1960s Gibson ES-175DN in its factory Natural/Blonde finish, serial number 541094, with a vintage Gibson hardshell case.

The interior orange Gibson label identifies the model as ES-175DN and states Kalamazoo, Michigan. The “D” denotes the dual-pickup configuration, while the “N” denotes the factory Natural finish.

This guitar features dual humbucking pickups, a rosewood fingerboard with split-parallelogram inlays, a trapeze tailpiece, Kluson Deluxe tuners, and classic Kalamazoo-era Gibson construction.

The natural finish displays extensive age-appropriate lacquer checking, light scratches, small marks, and attractive vintage patina. There are also marks on the back believed to have been caused by an older coiled instrument cable stored in the case.

There is localized finish loss and evidence of an older repair around the output-jack area. The repair and surrounding wear are shown clearly in the photographs. I am not aware of any headstock break or other major structural repair.

The guitar plays well, and all pickups, controls, and the selector switch function properly. It produces the warm, articulate sound for which the ES-175 is known.

The tuners, tailpiece, pickups, and other hardware appear period-correct. No claim of complete originality is intended unless independently verified by the buyer or a vintage-guitar specialist.

The vintage hardshell case is functional and shows substantial exterior wear consistent with its age.

Please examine all photographs carefully. Additional close-up photographs, measurements, or a playing demonstration are available upon request. Offers are welcome.
