Studio models never have neck binding and I am only aware of this model which does have it and the Studio Standard which is also a rarity. If there are other Studio models which also have neck binding they are very few. The finish is called Satin Ebony and is like flat black/matte black
This guitar is in good condition with some play wear. Very little fret wear - some minor flattening in a couple of places but no grooves. The finish is worn off on the upper bout edge where the picking arm rests/rubs. There are also minor finish scratches and a small flattened impression behind the tailpiece, above the volume & tone controls. The pickup ring screws have some oxidation.
The truss rod cover is not original. RARE - the production of this guitar was limited to 400. Also included is a Gibson hard shell case (pictured).
