On old 1966 Bassman that I bought in an estate sale of a recording studio I didn't even know existed in my area! Definitely has seen some use in the studio and has tons of scratches, nicks and tears but solid and sounds fantastic!
It already had some mods and I expanded on them a bit. Bass channel has some capacitors and resistors changed to be more Marshall sounding. Normal channel is pretty much stock. Bright switches on both channels have 3-way switches so can get even more bright if needed.
Power section and bias circuit converted to AA864 specs. In addition has a master volume and cut also located on the back. This amp is loud even before set the volume knob to 2 so master volume is great for better control over the volume. Also when cranked all the way to the right get some great Fender distortion like a Mike Ness Social D Bassman. The cut knob is also great. All the way to the right it is not in the circuit and has no effect but turning counter clockwise it starts cutting the treble like a Vox amp and really helpful in shaping your sound especially with distortion pedals. Halfway on the knob has a Marshall-esque sound and further it begins to totally but all the treble making it useful if you actually play bass through it.
Lots of surface rust and patina put is just cosmetic, tolex in spots has some tears and some bubbling on the side, definitely not a museum piece!
