Up for sale is a Master Crafted Tom Anderson Bobcat in beautiful translucent white with binding. If you look closely you can see the highly figured maple flames peering through the top. Weighing only 7.2lbs this guitar is light and very resonant.
This guitar is in very good condition with a scratch on the back of the neck that was there when I purchased it. After playing and testing the guitar thoroughly it played like an absolute dream. It has been kept in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment and handled with the utmost care. It features the legendary, ultra-fast Tom Anderson playability.
The guitar currently features a medium output Tom Anderson H1+ in the bridge and a Tom Anderson H1 in the neck. This combination delivers spectacular clarity, exceptional for classic rock, blues rock, and liquid-smooth lead tones. My favorite pickup combination for blues rock and classic rock.
Even though I usually prefer the h2 pickup after playing through a Friedman Stevie Stevens, brown eye 100... the H1+ surprised me with its superior articulation and clarity. I never bothered to replace it... preferring instead to crank the gain on the amp as opposed to having higher output pickup which provides in my opinion an inferior distortion to the tube amp distortion. The notes are more articulate and less "fuzzy" with a low output pickup...EVH agrees and who can argue with him.
The 3 way push/pull knobs open a plethora of usable tones including very telecaster like tones. Great sounding clean or distorted

Bobcat is an Anderson guitar through and through, and as such every outrageous Anderson attribute is soundly intact and at your beck and call: Smooth and fast, Bobcat's buttery playability is just effortless to play and bend, for as far as you would like to push it. Unbelievably resonant, Bobcat rings seemingly forever, even unplugged. One chord and you will know how big, how vibrant, how full and how in tune a guitar can actually be.
Unique 3-on-a-side headstock with nearly straight string pull renders unparalleled tuning ease and stability while offering a much stronger neck to headstock union.
Encircling the entire back circumference of the body is a smooth, soft cut radius for next to body comfort. It is fantastic to hold Bobcat close. Hand selected, kiln dried mahogany means Bobcat's overall weight is less than you'd expect from this style of instrument. Just so nice to strap on and play all night long. Uniquely styled lower horn takes its styling cue from our Raven model. Rounded, shortened and deeper cut, it splays slightly outward to noticeably grant easier access to the highest regions of the fretboard and balances Bobcat’s center of gravity nicely when sitting to play. No sliding off the leg for Bobcat, just sit, plant it and play, comfortably.
Countersunk bridge, tailpiece and pickup rings look so, so, so cool and provide a more natural angle for the picking hand and wrist to contact the string plane, makes picking a more effortless motion. 8 hum-free sounds from a simple and traditional 3-way selector and your choice of a two or three or four knob setup. With Push/Pull pots to cut power for each pickup individually. Lightweight Tune-o-matic style bridge is standard and wonderful to play, but so is the optional vintage tremolo style bridge if you so desire.
Just a moment is all that will be needed to open your mind and heart, and once you hear how resonant and feel how easily Bobcat plays you will utterly lose your mind, in a good way!
