Technics SL-23

A nice Technics SL-23 turntable with a new belt and fully serviced. It has a Stanton RS500DJ cartridge with a brand new stylus, sounds great. The base was painted black for a better look.

These tables are known to be excellent despite their initial low cost, very solidly made as the Turntable Guy attests here - . All of the actions to service this model as depicted in this video were taken on this table, it is good to go for many years to come. The dust cover has the usual small marks of a vintage turntable.

The Technics SL-23 is a high-quality, belt-driven turntable with a newly developed FG (frequency generator) servo-controlled DC motor with IC.

The unit features fabulous wow, flutter and rumble rating and has low power consumption for greater efficiency.

The static-balanced, S-shaped tonearm has the benefit of automatic return/shut-off, and has a MM cartridge combined with the headshell for high compliance support and good channel separation.

However, too many unprincipled buyers that strip parts and then wanted to return electronics as being defective force me to protect myself from this type of abuse. I will pack well and insure the package during shipping. One recent buyer stated that he thought that his unit could have been dropped from a truck at highway speed and still survived intact. If the shipping cost seems excessive, eBay seems to overestimate shipping costs so I have been offering to refund anything over the actual shipping cost. I tell them the size and weight and they estimate from there.
