Fast RG feel with Wizard III neck
The RG470DXW is built around Ibanez's Wizard III neck profile, designed for speed and precision. Its thin, flat shape allows quick position changes and smooth transitions across the fretboard, making it ideal for fast lead lines and technical rhythm playing. With a full 24-fret range, the neck supports extended techniques and modern playing styles, while remaining comfortable for longer sessions without feeling restrictive.
Meranti body with balanced response
The meranti body provides a solid tonal foundation with a slightly scooped midrange character. This helps fast passages remain clear and prevents dense arrangements from becoming muddy. Chords stay articulate, while single notes retain definition, making the guitar adaptable to a wide range of gain levels. The overall response remains controlled and predictable, supporting consistent performance during practice and live playing.
Quantum H-S-H pickup configuration
Quantum pickups are voiced for clarity and speed, with a quick low-end response that keeps palm-muted riffs tight and focused. The H-S-H layout offers versatility through a 5-way selector, allowing access to both humbucking power and more detailed, single-coil sounds. This setup supports aggressive tones without losing note separation, making it suitable for rhythm and lead work alike.
Edge-Zero II tremolo stability
The Edge-Zero II tremolo is designed for reliable tuning and comfortable performance. Its low-profile design reduces interference with the picking hand, while the stud lock function helps maintain tuning stability during heavy use. Combined with locking machine heads and a stable setup, the system supports expressive pitch control without sacrificing consistency, making the RG470DXW dependable for demanding playing styles.
