[Gibson Custom Shop 1960’s J-200]
The Gibson Custom Shop 1960’s J-200 possesses a style befitting its title as the “King of Flat-Tops.” Faithfully reproducing the golden-era SJ-200 of the 1960s, it is a top-of-the-line jumbo guitar boasting overwhelming volume, brilliant high frequencies, and rich harmonics.
The combination of a Sitka spruce top and beautiful figured maple sides and back allows for a wide range of expression, from powerful strumming to delicate fingerpicking. It features a 3-piece flame maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Furthermore, it employs the Tune-O-Matic (TOM) bridge, a characteristic of 1960s models, achieving clear attack and excellent intonation accuracy.
The J-200's luxurious decorations, such as the distinctive flower pickguard and mother-of-pearl crown inlay, are also a major attraction. This is a special guitar that revives the style and sound of the 1960s, beloved by legendary artists, possessing presence, playability, and sound all in one.
