The Fender American Vintage II series presents a remarkably accurate take on the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone. During the late '50s and early '60s, the popularity of Fender musical instruments flourished, and although the Fender assortment had expanded to include many great new instruments, the Stratocaster reigned supreme. By 1961, the Stratocaster had taken on a more refined aesthetic, with a 3-Color Sunburst reformulated with a more vibrant red and bolder black edge, topped with a 3-ply pickguard accenting the Strat's signature curves. 

Featuring a premium alder body, a trio of Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster pickups and a medium "C"-Shaped maple neck mated with a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard, the American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster reproduces the quintessential tone and feel of the original. Other appointments include a vintage-accurate synchronized tremolo with cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles, single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners and 3-ply pickguard. The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. This program ensures that each instrument meets stringent quality standards and provides customers with a peace of mind when buying used Fender gear.

What is a Fender CPO instrument? Each Fender Certified Pre-Owned instrument undergoes a thorough inspection process to ensure it meets Fender’s high standards for quality and playability. Once a CPO instrument passes inspection, it receives a certificate indicating its status as a Fender Certified Pre-Owned instrument and will carry a limited One (1) Year Warranty in partnership with MIRC. This certification assures that the instrument you receive has been vetted by professionals and is ready for performance. 

Warranty - Fender CPO instruments are warrantied in partnership with MIRC for the period of One (1) Year from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser when this instrument is purchased from Fender Certified Pre-Owned and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. 

Limitations and exclusions:

The following items are not covered by this Limited Warranty.

1. Fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings and batteries.
2. Checking, shrinking, sinking, discoloration and ware of poly or lacquer finishes.
3. Setups, adjustments or routine maintenance of any kind.
4. Damage to finishes or cracks, splitting, or warpage of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity, exposure to or contact with sunlight, fire, moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration, guitar straps, guitar stands/hangers made from vinyl, plastic, rubber or other synthetic materials, any other chemicals or non-Fender/Squier-approved polishes.
5. Damage, corrosion or rusting of any hardware components caused by humidity, salty air, or exposure to the moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration.
6. Any damage to an Instrument resulting from customization or modification.
7. Normal wear and tear on any part of the Instrument, case or gig bag including jacks, controls, switches, plated surfaces, tuning machines, pickguards, zippers, clasps, handles, latches, case hardware, etc.
8. All other damage and deterioration due to normal usage, wear and tear, aging, accidents, neglect, abuse, or acts of nature.
9. Any Instrument whose serial number is missing, altered or tampered with in any fashion.
10. Any Instrument purchased from anyone other than through the Fender CPO Store.
11. Any Instrument purchased through the Fender CPO Store that has been subsequently resold and is no longer owned by the person or entity that initially purchased the Instrument from the Fender CPO Store.
12. Any defects, damage, blemishes, or other issues identified in the product listing on the Fender CPO Store at the time the Instrument is purchased.
13. Instruments that have been serviced by unauthorized persons (any person other than an MIRC Service Center).

Return Policy - We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your instrument, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. The instrument must be returned in its original condition, including all packaging, accessories, and documentation. If you need to return your instrument, contact us and we will provide you with a return label free of charge. Upon receiving and inspecting the returned instrument, we will promptly process your refund and credit this back to the original form of payment.
