Monkeymatic Palisade PROTOTYPE -- 12 watt, hand built, tube guitar amp head

PROTOTYPE unit: This unique unit is the first of its kind. Only minor changes of convenience were made to the PCB after this unit was finished. Components used were those already on hand, as shown in photo. The cabinet is painted in a heavy coat of truck bed liner. Otherwise, this is identical to later production models.

The Monkeymatic Palisade is a compact, hand-built tube amplifier designed for players who want rich vintage character without excess baggage. Built around a carefully voiced, 12 watt circuit, the Palisade delivers the touch sensitivity, harmonic complexity, and natural compression that make small tube amps so addictive.

Two 12AX7 and a pair of EL84 power tubes deliver clean, chimey, edge-of-breakup tones to snarling overdrive at practical volume levels. The Palisade responds directly to your hands, guitar volume, and playing dynamics. Its focused control layout keeps the experience immediate: plug in, turn up, and let the amp do the talking.

Designed in Chico, California and hand built by Monkeymatic, the Palisade combines thoughtful modern construction with old-school tube amp feel. It is equally at home in the studio, the shop, the living room, or any stage where tone matters more than wattage.
