Novo Voltur 2023 - Lake Placid Blue

When you’re here, you know about the excellence of these instruments, so I won’t deep-dive.

This one has been absolutely loved. Tempered pine body and tempered maple neck, light-weight (3,18 kg), very resonant, lightly aged. Neck is a chunky 'C' carve, smooth and silky sanded down, plays smoothly up and down the rosewood fingerboard with a radius ranging from 9.5" to 14".

The 2023 model still boasts the Tele-ish design with the metal control plate and the split-coil switch for the Fralin Unbucker and of course the bridge with compensated brass saddles, ensuring precise intonation and great sustain.

Soundwise - absolute direct response to touch. From sweet and clean to a mean growl depending on how you dig in. Lollar has done a beautiful job with their staple pickup. Great clarity and punch. If you ever had one in the neck position, it’s hard to go back to anything else. The Unbucker on the other hand – I needed a beefy humbucker which keeps transparency even with higher gain for some heavier stuff, and the Fralin does the job brilliantly. I was skeptical about the coil split, but frankly, it convinced me to sell my 70ies Tele when I felt I had to thin out the herd.

Comes with the original Novo Deluxe Padded Gig Bag (actually a Mono Bag).

Watch Leif de Leeuw demoing this very guitar (you can tell by the dings and scratches) in the attached youtube video.
