Up for sale is an incredibly rare piece of American musical history: a 1942 Oahu Tube Guitar Amplifier, hand-built in Chicago by Valco. This pre-war survivor is an absolute time capsule. Valco manufactured these little powerhouses for the Oahu Publishing Company. Because Valco halted all commercial musical instrument production from mid-1943 through 1946 to support the wartime manufacturing effort, these 1942 models are exceptionally scarce. It has its original Rola field coil speaker and a 2 prong ac cord with modern rotary switch. Covering has seen some wear and tear over its 80+ years of life! Check out video to hear it in operation.
