Slingerland - 8x14" Radio King No. 141 Deep Concert / Dance Model Snare Drum 1947–1953 - Marine Pearl/Nickel Hardware

Now this is one BEAUTIFUL snare drum. Produced in Chicago during the late 1940s to early 1950s. Cloud badge, nickel hardware, engraved "Stick Chopper" hoops, 3 point throw off, and classic Radio King streamlined lugs. The deep shell design delivers exceptional warmth, projection, and low-end body while maintaining the sensitivity and musicality that made Radio Kings legendary.

During the late 1940s and early 1950s, Slingerland offered several Radio King depths, with the deeper drums often ordered by professional big-band, theater, and orchestral drummers. These deeper models were marketed toward professional players seeking additional body and projection compared to the standard 5x14 and 6.5x14 offerings.

This drum is in spectacular condition. The nickel hardware is truly gleaming. The extended lever is missing from the throw off but it still functions perfectly. Otherwise no issues. The new Remo Skyntone batter head is the perfect match on this snare, super articulate and great tuning range.

(Sling #6)
