Nice 1969 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean in very good and very solid condition. All parts are original, although it now sports a (Japanese) space-control roller bridge for better string seating. The original plain-grooved Gretsch bridge is also included. Good tight neck joint and decent angle. BTW, color in the pics IS an accurate representation. All binding is replaced, as is often necessary on Gretsches. Well done, and correctly smoothed and lightly over-finished with nitro. Small vertical piece at the treble side of neck joint could have been done a little more crisply, but I’m just being picky. Plenty of playing wear, but nothing serious. A patch of buckle rash on the back that is easily seen in the pic. Frets and fretboard in good shape, and guitar plays well. Nice tone and output from Hi-Lo Tron pups. Pickup selector is curiously backward from how you’d expect, i.e. the toggle points away from the pickup selected. It works perfectly, however, so I wouldn’t mess around with it. Also, the cutout switch down by the tremolo cuts the output in only one direction from the middle, not both. Obviously, neither of those little quirks affects playability. Original case is solid and fully functional but cosmetically a bit “loved”. Reasonable player price on a very desirable guitar…
