This is a lovely 1980s JB62-55 Jazz Bass. It's easy and fun to play and the sound is great. The bass was made in the 1980s in the legendary Fujigen factory. Many of the 1990s models were manufactured elsewhere and are less well regarded. I have included various photos to date the instrument including one of the control cavity showing the pots and wiring. I brought this back from Japan and, as with most second hand instruments in Japan, it's in very good condition for its age. Here are some of the imperfections:
Surface level scratches on the body
Slight cracks in the lacquer on either side of the neck pocket
A ding on the wood of the 7th fret of the fretboard
Some slights dings on the body and back of the headstock
Tarnish/slight surface rust on some of the hardware and the pickup poles
This is collection only, I want you to try the guitar and make sure you're happy with it. It's a very nice instrument and I hope to goes to someone who will use it more than I have, it deserves to be gigged and recorded.
