The Bowers & Wilkins CM8 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker built around a 25mm Nautilus tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter, a 130mm woven Kevlar FST (Fixed Suspension Transducer) midrange driver, and two 130mm bass drivers in a ported tower enclosure. Crossover points sit at 350 Hz and 4 kHz, with a frequency response of 69 Hz – 22 kHz (±3 dB). The FST midrange driver uses a minimal surround to damp the cone and reduce coloration, while the MDF cabinet features extensive internal bracing and an isolated midrange chamber. Sensitivity is 88 dB (2.83V @ 1m) at a nominal 8 Ohms impedance, and the speakers accept 30–150W from an external amplifier. Bi-wirable binding posts and rear B&W Flowports — which can be sealed with the included foam plugs to tailor bass output — complete the connection options.
