RJR Stereo Insert Switcher

RJR SIS is designed for mastering use. You'll find it to be somewhat different than other units. The main reason is that it has no amplification stages. The audio runs through gold plated connectors, a small amount of solid core copper wire, copper traces on the circuit board, and the high quality Omron relays. Sonically it's really no different than running audio through a nice quality XLR cable like Mogami or Canare starquad. The unit has no sound of its own as it is simply a switching matrix, whereas some other units have amplification stages and audio processing functions that will impact the audio.

Cables are not included. And also, be aware that the DB25 pinout is the Tascam style.

SPECS:

- Balanced stereo audio path throughout

- Input XLR jacks connect directly to output XLR jacks when all inserts are "out"

- Eight stereo inserts, each switchable in or out (hard bypass)

- Flip function swaps position of neighboring inserts

- Each DB25 connector carries fully balanced stereo send and return connections for each pair of inserts
