1975 Fender Precision Bass ALL ORIGINAL — Left-Handed — Sunburst

For sale is a left-handed 1975 Fender Precision Bass in a classic three-tone sunburst finish, accompanied by a Gruhn Guitars appraisal letter dated April 27, 2018.

According to the Gruhn letter, the bass carries serial number 644861. Gruhn notes that while the neck plate serial number dates to 1975, Fender neck plates from this era were stamped in large quantities and used randomly, so serial numbers do not always correspond exactly to final assembly dates.

The bass is described in the letter as appearing cosmetically and structurally excellent (for its age) and conforming to the typical left-handed specifications of the period. Features noted include a double-cutaway left-handed sunburst body, multi-ply beveled black plastic pickguard, left-handed maple neck with adjustable truss rod, four-bolt neck plate, black Fender logo peghead decal, individual open-back tuners with cloverleaf buttons, round string tree, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, chrome-plated hardware, and correct-style control knobs.

The appraisal also notes that the bridge cover and pickup cover are missing.

Included is the original hard-shell case with black Tolex exterior and red plush interior lining.

This is a very cool vintage left-handed Fender Precision Bass with strong documentation from one of the most respected names in vintage guitar appraisals. Left-handed vintage Fender basses are far less common than right-handed examples, making this a desirable piece for a left-handed player, collector, or vintage Fender enthusiast.
