About This Listing

From my personal collection, I present to you a remarkable piece: a 21" Sabian HH Prototype Ride in a traditional finish. This cymbal underwent a transformative process to refine its sound and enhance its musicality.

When initially acquired, the cymbal boasted an Extra Heavy weight, resembling the characteristics of an anvil. Recognizing its potential, I had Sabian undertake a significant modification by re-lathing both the top and bottom surfaces (excluding the bell underneath). This adjustment allowed the cymbal to breathe and revealed its true musicality.

As a result of this careful craftsmanship, the cymbal's weight transitioned into the Heavy category. It still retains its cutting ability, but now possesses a more nuanced and expressive tone. The cymbal strikes a perfect balance between power and musicality, making it an exceptional addition to any drummer's setup.

It is important to note that Sabian no longer accepts custom orders, rendering this prototype cymbal even more rare and unique. If you're searching for a musical heavy cymbal that doesn't sacrifice tonal quality for sheer weight, this is an opportunity you wouldn't want to miss. Secure this remarkable piece before someone else seizes the chance!
