John Petrucci, guitarist for the American progressive metal band “Dream Theater,” switched from Ibanez to Music Man in 2000 and received the JP6, a custom-tailored signature guitar that was truly impressive at the time. Today, the Majesty series is the extensively refined version of the JP6 and represents the most modern and technologically advanced guitar concept from this elite American guitar manufacturer: maximum ergonomics, uncompromising playing comfort, and unlimited tonal flexibility. Hallelujah, what a guitar!

The guitar features a very lightweight basswood body, whose generous contours immediately hug the contours of your body and provide a powerful, punchy tonal foundation. The maple top with an inlaid shield-shaped pattern is not only a feast for the eyes but also adds plenty of overtones and bite to the tone. And for that endlessly lingering sustain, the Honduran mahogany neck runs through the body in neck-through construction.

Plugged in, two DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers and an integrated piezo system in the bridge deliver an exceptionally wide range of tones. From punchy, high-resolution high-gain sounds to articulate crunch rhythms and authentic-sounding acoustic tones, this guitar covers nearly every musical situation. The integrated active preamp, including an active gain boost via a push/pull function on the volume control, as well as various switching options thanks to a 3-way piezo/magnetic selector switch, provide enormous flexibility and precise tone shaping.

The slim “D” neck profile ensures an extremely comfortable and fast playing feel, while the ebony fingerboard with a 17" radius and stainless steel frets guarantees maximum precision and durability.
