I am offering the ultra-rare Roland MRS-2 ProMars, also known as the ProMars Compuphonic. Released in 1979 alongside its famous sister synthesizer, the Jupiter-4, the ProMars is an absolute analog purist's dream. It represents the early, glorious era of microprocessor-controlled analog synthesis, combining a raw, discrete internal voice architecture with the convenience of patch memory.

While often compared to the Jupiter-4 due to its matching aesthetic and layout, the ProMars is a completely different beast:

• Dual-VCO Powerhouse: Unlike the single-oscillator Jupiter-4, the ProMars features two robust analog oscillators (VCOs) that can be detuned against each other. This allows it to create exceptionally thick, earth-shaking basses, screaming sync leads, and dense, evolving textures that cut through any mix with ease.
• Legendary Filtering: Driven by Roland's iconic IR3109 low-pass resonant filter, it delivers that beautifully liquid, squelchy, and resonant sweeping character that defined early Roland synthesizers.

Technically, this Roland MRS-2 ProMars is in excellent operational condition. These early microprocessor synths require precise technical calibration to keep their oscillators and voice routing perfectly stable—this unit has been thoroughly checked, tuned, and cleaned. All toggle switches, sliders, preset buttons, and the performance control section respond beautifully. Optically, it is in gorgeous vintage condition, with its classic heavy-duty chassis and distinctive side panels showing only minimal, normal signs of wear from its long history.
