The latest update to our longest running design concept, the Metropolitain Jazz II is lighter, tighter and slightly more compact, offering a very comfortable and balanced playing experience with enhanced resonance and articulation.
This is METROPOLITAIN JAZZ II #3 of 4 (in the shop affectionally called "Cream Dream Machine") from a short run of Prototype DYNAMIC METROPOLITAIN II models by PT Berger. Beautiful double flame maple top and back, lightweight <7lbs, smooth playing neck, great sounding BB jazz-wound pickup.
SPECS
- Body
Fully Hollow thinline body with interior tailpiece post block: 2.5" body depth, 15" lower body bout width. AAA flame maple laminate arched top and back with two bound f-holes, fancy multi-ply bindings throughout. SR (Smooth/Round) neck heel design with body-neck attachment at 16th fret for enhanced upper fretboard access.

Roasted maple satin finished bolt-on maple neck with double-line bound Ebony fingerboard. Full-scale (25.5") 22-fret fingerboard with "ducktail" finial tip. Comfortable vintage full "C" neck profile 12-14" radius, 43mm (1 11/16") bone nut width, medium gauge (.038") stainless steel frets. Luminlay side dot markers. Proprietary headstock design offers straighter string pull and a uniquely comfortable open position grip. 18-1 VR tuners with cream keystone buttons.

Special jazz-wound BergerBucker "JW" neck pickup with cream mounting ring, Push-Pull split-coil Volume knob for expanded tonal options. Gold Hardware, Classic amber speed knobs. VR tunamatic stop tailpiece. PTB Signature knob controls placement offers more efficient movement within the right hand's playing plane.
NOS Demo/Near Mint - may have some slight signs of handling/ light demo playwear.
Includes hardshell case.
