Up for sale is a brand new, unplayed ESP Snakebyte Kuiu Camo, handcrafted in 2025 at ESP’s top-tier Japan Custom Shop (No.1 Tokyo factory). I purchased this guitar earlier this year as part of my collection and it has never been played.

This is one of the last Snakebytes to feature the original Sperzel locking tuners, which have since been discontinued and replaced with Gotoh tuners on current production models. For many Metallica and James Hetfield fans, the Sperzel-equipped Snakebytes are the true classic spec and closest to Hetfield’s personal guitars.

The guitar is in absolutely brand new condition and comes complete with the original ESP hard shell case in matching camo finish, Certificate of Authenticity, and all original case candies still sealed in bubble wrap.

The Kuiu Camo finish looks incredible in person and the satin finish gives the guitar a very sleek and aggressive appearance. Combined with the mahogany body, ebony fretboard, and EMG JH “HET” pickup set, this Snakebyte delivers the tight, punchy rhythm tone James Hetfield is known for.
