Condition Report
This 53-year-old masterpiece has been meticulously cared for and kept in a climate-controlled environment, showing incredible preservation for its age.
- Body & Finish: The spruce top has aged into a beautiful, warm amber hue. The gloss finish on the top and the striking figured rosewood back is remarkably clean, with minimal handling wear and no structural cracks.
- Internal Label: The rare black circular "International Classical Guitar" label inside the sound hole is entirely intact, clean, and legible.
- Hardware: The vintage open-gear tuners are fully original, structurally sound, and turn smoothly. (One D peg is replaced with another vintage one)
- Playability & Neck: The neck is straight, and the action sits comfortably at 2.2mm and 2.5mm @12F making it incredibly playable for a vintage 12-string.
Sound & Character
The tone of this guitar is massive, rich, and naturally compressed. Decades of natural wood aging have completely dried out the premium timbers, resulting in a resonant, loud, and bell-like chime. The combination of the tight-grained spruce top and the high-density rosewood back delivers a gorgeous, lush chorus effect with unparalleled projection.
{The guitar has play wears and imperfections as below}
- Body top with some minor dings (re-touched), pick marks, pressure marks and some weather checks
- Body side and back are clean with minor scratches and scuffs as in cosmetic issues only
- Minor capo marks and dings on back of neck
- One peg (D) is replaced with a vintage one
- 6 bridge pins are non-original
Ready to play!!
All guitars have been thoroughly inspected which include: detailed cleaning, strings replaced with a new set, cleaned frets and fret board, set up neck, checked playability and polished entire guitar
