For sale is my Cannonball SVR-BR Vintage Reborn Brute straight soprano saxophone, serial number V169009. I’ve owned it for a while now and it’s an absolute beauty — both visually and in how it plays.

This is the real deal from Cannonball’s respected Vintage Reborn series. It features that signature aged-brass “Brute” patina finish that gives it a classic, vintage doorknob look with beautiful hand-engraved floral patterns across the body. You can clearly see all the markings: “BRUTE VINTAGE REBORN,” the serial, “Pat. Pen.,” the US patent number, and “Designed in USA.” It’s a one-piece straight soprano built with that perfect mix of old-school soul and modern reliability that Cannonball is known for.

What really stands out is how this horn performs. It has a warm, rich tone with excellent projection and clarity — the kind of voice that cuts through in a band or ensemble but still feels intimate when you’re playing solo.
