For your consideration, a 2004 Gibson Custom Shop Art & Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue R9 in Bourbon Burst with original hardshell case. This is a textbook example of why this era of R9 has such a strong reputation. It is a stunning guitar in person, and honestly, the photos do not do it justice. We are going to miss this one.
This one is all original, unmodified, and clearly came from a loving home. It has some honest playwear, but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that suggests abuse. No excuses here. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and fretwear is minimal with no effect on intonation or playability. Just a clean, great-feeling R9 that has been cared for the way a guitar like this should be.
It has been freshly set up and restrung by our in-house pro shop, led by a former Gibson employee, and it is ready to rock. The original case, certificate, and all case candy are included.
Available for a test drive in our Jamestown, Kentucky showroom, and we ship worldwide. Let us know if you have any questions.
