This is an extraordinary Made in Japan Fender '62 Stratocaster Reissue in Sonic Blue; one of the nicest Strats - American, Japanese, or otherwise - I've ever played. It was produced in 2008 by the TOKAI factory, widely considered to be the very best Japanese manufacturer of Fender guitars.

The guitar has been upgraded with 3 Fralin Vintage Hot Pickups, all new wiring, and Pure Tone Output Jack. Coolest of all, the tone controls have also been custom upgraded. The first tone knob controls the tone for all three pickups, while the second tone knob acts as a blender between the neck and bridge for some awesome Telecaster middle position tones. If you've ever thought the bridge pickup on a Strat sounded a bit too thin, this is the guitar for you.

Just professionally set up, the action is perfect and the neck is razor straight with the truss nut barely turned. The frets are in nice shape and the electronics are all brand new and work perfectly.

This guitar shows some cosmetic wear, including a few surface scratches, scuffs, and dents on the body, particularly along the sides. The headstock also shows a couple of small dings and there's some imperfections on the ends of the nut. The sonic blue finish is starting to show its 20 years of age and the hardware shows some light tarnish.

The tremolo arm and back spring cover have been replaced, and the original pickguard, pickups, and electronics will be included.
