Designed in collaboration with Berklee College of Music professor, Ibanez artist, and YouTube guitar instructor Tomo Fujita, the Ibanez AZES40 sets a new standard for highly accessible instruments by offering stage-ready playability for students and gigging professionals alike. It all starts with a lightweight poplar body, paired with the trademark snap and sustain of a maple neck and the silky-smooth playability of a jatoba fingerboard.

When constructing the AZES40, Ibanez decided to forgo the bare-minimum mindset by including a set of distinctly voiced pickups: the duo of Essentials single-coil pickups delivers vintage-style crispness and chime, while the Accord humbucking pickup excels at rock and more extreme genres. Not only can you channel the sound of one of rock music's most beloved axe configurations with a traditional 5-way blade switch, but the AZES40 also comes equipped with Ibanez's dyna-MIX9 switching system. With this high-powered switching system, up to nine different sound variations are at your disposal with the flick of a mini switch, a fantastic option for budding guitarists looking to find their sound as well as seasoned performers seeking to expand their tonal palette.
