Our users rate Reverb
Taking adaptability to new extremes, the AZ series has established itself and carved out a niche for itself, spanning everything from the hottest blues riffs to the most intense, shred-heavy metal. Continuing this ethos, the AZ Standard line embodies time-tested Ibanez innovation and player-focused features such as a smooth, oval neck grip, a well-balanced asymmetrical body shape, and a neck heel that allows for unparalleled playability.
Features
Roasted Maple Neck
The roasted maple neck is heat-treated for increased stability, durability, moisture resistance, and tolerance to temperature changes.
Jatoba Fingerboard
The Jatoba fingerboard has a reddish-brown color and produces a rich midrange with crystal-clear highs.
Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets
The stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance. The wide, tall frets offer a quick response and smooth articulation when playing chords and a clear sound when playing single notes.
Locking Tuners
Locking tuners ensure precise and stable tuning.
Flamed Maple Top / Alder Body
The flamed maple top features a beautiful wood grain. The alder body offers a bright, well-balanced tone, rich resonance, and sustain.
Ibanez Classic Custom Pickups
The Ibanez Classic Custom pickups offer a versatile tonal palette, combining the warm, clear sound of the alnico neck and single-coil middle pickups with the power and dynamics of a ceramic humbucker in the bridge position. This unique blend provides precise articulation and an expressive sound.
T106 Tremolo
The T106 tremolo bridge with 6 independent saddles makes it easy to precisely adjust the height and intonation of each string.
dyna-MIX9 Switching System with Alter Switch
The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can switch between humbucker and single-coil modes with a simple flip of the mini switch. One mode even simulates a humbucker sound obtained by combining two single-coil pickups.
Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access Neck Joint increases playability and allows easy access to the highest frets.
