This is a 1997 Epiphone 335 semi-hollow guitar with major upgrades in hi VG to excellent condition with minimal signs of use with its original Hard Shell case. This was made is the Samik plant in Korea and were know for high quality builds with the exception of the electronics. In this case the harness and pickups have been professionally replaced with high quality components starting with a pair of Arcane Inc Triple clone USA made hand wound PAF replica humbucker pickups (see more info below), excellent grade 500k pots and 022uF capacitors. The guitar is also wired for individual coil spitting with a push/pull on each of the tone knobs. The coil split with these pickups is fantastic and you can really get that strat twang and quack that is so often absent in most coil split humbuckers. This is an amazing sounding guitar with a lovely feeling unbound neck with beautiful darker rosewood that is ebony like to play on and weighs 8.4 pd on my scale. The aftermarket 3 ply pickguard is good quality and does come with the e-logo but I just never put it on so it is in the case. She is in outstanding condition with very little playwear throughout and comes with the original Epiphone branded hard shell case.
In 1997, the Epiphone "The Dot" (their version of the ES-335) was primarily manufactured in Korea (Samick or Peerless factories), which is often highly regarded by collectors for build quality compared to later Chinese-made models.

The Arcane Triple Clone Humbucker Set is a premium, hand-wound replica of a specific, high-output 1959–1960 "Patent Applied For" (PAF) bridge pickup. It is designed for players seeking a vintage-accurate tone but with a bit more "beef" and touch sensitivity than a standard low-output PAF.
Core Specifications
Built in Los Angeles on antique winding machines, these pickups use period-correct materials to achieve an exact tonal match to the original vintage unit that was used as a benchmark.

Tone and Performance
Reviewers and users describe the Triple Clone set as balanced and articulate, avoiding the "muddy" or "nasal" qualities sometimes found in hotter pickups.
·Character: It is notably bright and punchy compared to other vintage replicas like Gibson Custombuckers or Shaws.
·Clarity: Offers high-end "jangle" and sparkle, maintaining clarity even when pushed with high gain.
· Responsiveness: Highly touch-sensitive; it cleans up well with the guitar's volume pot and responds dynamically to picking strength.
