Gibson / 1967 Hummingbird Natural

The Hummingbird is one of Gibson's representative square-shoulder guitars.

As the name suggests, the hummingbird engraving on the pickguard is its most attractive feature.

—Pickguard with Mixed Coloring Variations

From 1967 onwards, the coloring of the designs engraved on the pickguard changed.

The butterflies, petals, hummingbird's beak, wings, and tail feathers were colored yellow, while other designs were colored white. However, this particular guitar is unique in that it is unified in the pre-change yellow color.

Even within 1967, these two patterns coexist.

The rosewood bridge on the upper belly has been modified to convert from an adjustable saddle to a throttle saddle.

You can see that the area where the adjustable saddle was located has been filled with rosewood.

The square-shouldered body top is made of spruce and finished in a natural color.

There are repaired cracks in one place each: above the soundhole, in the center under the saddle, and on the lower left of the body top. These have been properly reinforced, so you can use it with confidence.

Mahogany is used for the sides and back.

The cherry wood coloring and weather checking developed over time give it a dignified and impressive appearance.

The fingerboard is made of rosewood, and it features a slender, narrow neck.

The inlays are double parallelograms.

The neck is made of mahogany and has a moderately thin neck shape.

The large headstock features a modern Gibson logo and a crown inlay.

A distinctive feature is that the crown inlay is positioned lower towards the nut.

The bell-shaped truss rod cover is a 3-piece design.

Equipped with KULUSON DELUXE tuning machines.

Gold hardware enhances its luxurious appearance.

The natural-colored Hymmingbird has been as popular as the cherry-colored version since its introduction in 1963.

With its weather checking giving it a sophisticated look, this is a guitar that truly embodies the charm of a vintage instrument.

[Condition]
-Although this instrument is over 50 years old, its condition is remarkably good, and the weather checking gives it a dignified presence.

- No buzzing or dead spots; plays well.
- String height at 12th fret: 2.3mm on the 6th string side, 1.9mm on the 1st string side
- Saddle protrusion: Approximately 1.5mm to 3.0mm
- Modified from adjustable saddle to slot saddle.
- There are two repaired cracks: one on the upper right of the soundhole and one on the top center under the bridge.
- New nut installed.
