We have received a 1997 HERITAGE Johnny Smith Black!
"Heritage Guitars" is a brand established in Kalamazoo?where Gibsonfs factory was located before the company relocated to Nashville in 1985?by a group of artisans who purchased the factory and equipment.
The model we have in stock is "The Rose," the signature model of jazz guitarist Johnny Smith, who was active in the 1950s and 1960s.
This is a rare black-finish model.

The body features a spruce top with curly maple sides and back, paired with a 5-piece curly maple neck and an ebony fingerboard.
The headstock is adorned with rose inlays crafted from abalone and mother-of-pearl.
The fingerboard inlays also use abalone, giving the instrument a luxurious finish.

The label inside the soundhole is signed by Johnny Smith.
The combination of the black finish that reveals the wood grain, black hardware, and luxurious inlays creates a chic and stylish look.

It is equipped with original humbucker-style pickups.
These pickups offer the airy tone characteristic of hollow-body guitars, as well as excellent responsiveness that captures even the most delicate touches.

Regarding the condition, there are some areas on the body and headstock where fine scratches and scuff marks are visible.
There is a dent near the tailpiece on the body.

This is a rare black "The Rose" model, a rarity even in the used market!
Please take this opportunity to consider it!
