The SC-13E was announced in 2020 as an innovative model of Martin guitars from the Road Series, which offers a cost-effective Martin sound despite its low-to-mid price range.

It was finished as an acoustic-electric guitar with a number of modern specifications never seen before in Martin, such as an asymmetrical S-shaped body reminiscent of guitars like the Jazzmaster and Jaguar, and a velocity-shaped neck that boasts comfortable playability, bringing a new stimulus to the acoustic guitar industry until then.

This instrument is the USA-made SC-28E from the Standard Series, the same as Martin's classic models such as the D-28 and 000-18.

It features a solid spruce top and solid rosewood sides and back.

As mentioned above, the biggest feature of the SC model is its stress-free, comfortable playability.

That is the ease of playing in the high positions after the 12th fret.

With general acoustic guitar cutaway models, when pressing high-fret positions, the left hand gets stuck on the neck heel, which was an unavoidable point due to the structure of the guitar.

However, by making the design look like an electric guitar, the SC model allows you to bring the feeling of pressing on the low position side straight to the high position!

This has greatly improved playability, such as playing chords in high positions.

In addition, the unique asymmetrical body shape achieves its own coolness and an exquisite fit.

The sound has the clarity and crispness unique to the SC, and features the heavy resonance unique to rosewood.

The pickup is equipped with the LR Baggs Anthem, which features a natural, warm sound like a raw acoustic sound and a punchy low end.

In this instrument, where the guitar structure itself is modern, it is difficult to feel the hardness or the annoying clicky sound unique to acoustic-electric guitars, and it matches well with the natural sound unique to LR Baggs.

Until now, Martin's cutaway models, such as the 000C and GPC, have pursued the character of a Martin guitar based on traditional designs and sounds.

With the SC model, it is an acoustic-electric model finished with a completely new look, modern specs, and a character that has never existed before.

There are not many guitars that achieve such high playability that you can play with the same feeling even if you switch from an electric guitar.

This is a piece that we would like those looking for a model slightly different from the royal road acoustic guitar to experience.

Overall beautiful used item.

There are some finish cracks, but it does not affect playability.
