Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG-1000 was a mid range model in the 1981 catalog and is a step up from the entry level models in specs. Weighing in at 4.3kg's, it's built with a mahogany body with a 2-piece maple cap, slim 60's maple/mahogany set neck and an ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width).
Loaded with the original Yamaha tailpiece, bridge and tuners with, this one has the original SGH-1SOB pickups with push/push coil split switches on the tone knobs.
Good used vintage condition as pictured with basic signs of cosmetic wear from use, no repairs or breaks. Received a basic setup and service including fretboard clean, fret polish and electronics service.
