Offering a vintage 1940's Shure model 708A "Zeppelin" Dynamic Microphone, hailed by Shure as "one of the sharpest looking and good sounding general purpose microphones of the mid-20th century"! There was a lot of mic design experimentation going on at that time; designs based on car grills, rockets, searchlights, skyscrapers, and even this one...nicknamed the "Zeppelin", for it's resemblance to the awesome blimp/airships of the era. The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly in place and the mic stand threads are undamaged.
This mic came to use extremely weathered, maker's badge completely faded away, requiring an overall repaint (Metallic Dark Grey enamel with Red pinstriping.) This mic provides excellent sound and output level from it's upgraded dynamic capsule. (Check out an audio sample on the listing video.) The basic display desk stand is included, plus the new short adapter cable, male Amphenol connector to male XLR plug, or we can wire it to a 1/4" male phono plug if you prefer.
