For 2026 Reverend Jetstream has been replaced by the Kingbolt, but while the Kingbolt uses Reverend's new Steel Head pickups, the Jetstream has their conventional 9A5 P90 pickups. If you are a fan of traditional P90's in a Reverend, grab it while they last.
Reverend has built a loyal following with original designs, smart features, and consistently solid quality. The Jetstream 390 is a great example—distinctive, well made, and definitely not just another guitar clone.
Three P90s is still a pretty uncommon setup, and Reverend has been doing it for years. The Jetstream 390 delivers clean, punchy tones with plenty of muscle for rock and blues. Positions 2 and 4 give you that Strat-style quack, just fatter and with less volume drop. The neck and middle pickups stay clear and lively, while the hotter bridge adds extra push without getting harsh. With some drive, this thing absolutely rips.
Reverend’s Bass Contour control adds a lot of range. It’s basically a high-pass filter, but it works really well—smooth, musical, and useful for tightening the low end or getting brighter, spankier sounds from the neck and neck/middle settings.
The 6-bolt roasted maple neck has 22 neatly finished frets, locking tuners, and a triple string tree—something all Fender-style headstocks should have. We measured the neck at around .830" at the 1st fret and .880" at the 12th. It’s very much in slim C territory and will feel familiar to USA Fender players.
If you’ve been wanting a great P90 guitar, this is a killer one—three pickups, tons of range, and classic Reverend playability.

In the words of Reverend:
Fat, raw, and bluesy but with just the right amount of bite to cut through. Positions 2 and 4 on the pickup selector deliver classic “quack” but with a thicker tonality. An amazing guitar for both clean and distorted tones with enough twang for surf, but thick enough for rock.
