Classic RG Design Meets No-nonsense Performance

Experienced RG players looking for a straightforward, high-performance shred guitar will feel right at home with the Ibanez Standard RG421DX. This solidbody electric features the iconic RG body shape, crafted from solid meranti and paired with a fast-playing maple Wizard III neck for effortless speed and precision. Its 24-fret jatoba fingerboard provides plenty of space for lightning-fast runs and technical passages, while bold Shark Tooth inlays deliver a striking, stage-ready look. Plug in, and the RG421DX roars to life with a wide range of aggressive, articulate tones thanks to its dual Ibanez Quantum humbuckers. Anchored by a dependable Ibanez F106 hardtail bridge and stable tuning machines, this guitar is built to stay solid and reliable — even under intense playing conditions. The Ibanez Standard RG421DX is a performance-driven instrument engineered for crafting powerful, genre-defining metal tones.

Incredibly fast Wizard III neck

Featuring one of Ibanez’s fastest neck profiles, the maple Wizard III neck on the Ibanez RG421DX delivers a wide, responsive platform for high-speed fretwork. Its slim, ultra-comfortable design makes it easy to execute rapid runs, intricate arpeggios, and smooth hammer-ons, while still offering enough substance for solid, confident chord work.

Topping the neck is a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard fitted with jumbo frets, ideal for expressive bends and precise articulation. From the moment you wrap your hand around the Wizard III neck, you’ll feel the performance-focused design that makes the RG421DX a true player’s instrument.

Multidimensional Quantum pickups

The Ibanez RG421DX packs serious punch, driven by a pair of powerful Ibanez Quantum humbuckers. Loaded with ceramic magnets, these pickups excel at soaring leads — delivering bright articulation with a snarling edge and enhanced midrange presence when pushed.

Their tight, defined response ensures every note cuts through clearly, even in high-volume, hard-hitting metal settings. A versatile 5-way pickup selector, along with Master Volume and Tone controls, gives you full command over your tonal palette.

If you’re chasing aggressive output, clarity, and tonal authority, the RG421DX is ready to push your amp or modeler to its full potential.

Built for bulletproof reliability

The Ibanez RG421DX is outfitted with an Ibanez F106 hardtail bridge — a favorite among players who value maximum stability and tuning consistency. Designed to handle everything from aggressive riffing to precise technical passages, this fixed bridge delivers dependable performance across a wide range of playing styles.

High-quality Ibanez tuning machines further reinforce this rock-solid setup, making it an ideal choice for players who prefer to avoid tremolo systems. Whether you’re diving into extreme down-tuned riffs, tight palm-muted chugs, or smooth, complex chord voicings, the RG421DX stays locked in and ready for whatever you throw at it.
