This is a great playing Melody Maker that has had lots of changes over the years. It has a 1 and 9/16 width nut. This was refinished in the '80s, super pro job. It has the typical small headstock crack that was repaired and not an issue. The original pickup is included but currently has a BG custom made pickup in it. There has been some routing under the pickup cavity as you can see in the picture. The electronics look replaced. The position of the controls was shifted so the output jack is closer to the back strap button for more functionality. This could be reversed easily enough. The bridge looks to be original, the tail piece vibrato looks to be a replacement. The tuners are not original. The frets look very clean for its age so they may have been replaced but they are very well done so I can't be 100% sure. The strap buttons look newer also. For pickguard doesn't seem to fit around the neck perfectly so I don't know what the deal is with that. I don't know what various screws are as far as the originality so assume they're replacements . This is currently set up with 10 gauge D'Addario Strings and a wound G so an intonates correctly with the vintage wrap around bridge.
