I've had my Prophet XL (serial #0076) for about 4.5 years, and I simply love the sound, but have no use for it in my current set up. I've much more of a gigging musician now than a programmer, so the depth and the tremendous power of this instrument is kind of spoiled on me. Sad, but true.

It's in excellent shape, not perfect, but really good. I have only used it outside of my smoke-free home twice: once for a single day outside gig, and once for a four-night musical in a theater.

Up front: I had maintenance issues with this instrument. a couple of years back, which has been fixed. I shipped it across country to Sequential & had its motherboard replaced. I have also replaced the battery on it a couple of times before, and gone through the procedure with the USB keyboard to make sure it boots correctly. (These maintenance issues are quite typical for this instrument.) No issues whatsoever with the keyboard since I replaced the motherboard & battery. Everything works swimmingly.

I have the "Last Prophet" and "Oberheim" presets in it from 8DIO.

The Yamaha case is a very heavy-duty metal case for 88-note keyboards. It fits this 76-note instrument very well, and is strong. I have replaced a couple of latches on it, because these type of latches can fail after a while; I've also had to do that for my Nord case.

I'm willing to hand deliver this instrument, and the case, within the general area between Chicago-Detroit-Indianapolis and areas close to that corridor. I know that shipping just the instrument itself, without the case, cost me around $240 from SW Lower Michigan to San Francisco around 3 years ago. It is 33.2 lbs., so I will guestimate the shipping cost based upon this. Of course, if I drive it to you I may ask for a tank of gas instead!

The instrument by itself is $2700. The case is $150.
