Vintage 1914 C.G. Conn B Tuba manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana. Serial number 137908.

This antique Conn features a beautifully engraved 16” bell, original lyre holder, and classic early American brass craftsmanship. The horn has developed a rich natural raw brass patina over more than 100 years, with oxidation, finish wear, scratches, dents, and cosmetic character consistent with age and use.

All three valves move smoothly and respond well. Two slides move freely, while one slide is currently stuck. One tubing section has a visible break/open seam that will require repair if the instrument is to be returned to regular playing condition. Please inspect all photos carefully for exact cosmetic and structural condition.

This instrument is being sold on behalf of a local collector who is liquidating part of their antique brass instrument collection.

A fantastic restoration candidate with strong collector, display, studio, theater, or vintage brass appeal. The engraved bell and early Conn craftsmanship make this a very eye-catching pre-WWI American brass instrument.
