1963 Gibson J50 Acoustic Guitar J-50
See YouTube video for demo..
This a 1963 Gibson J50 Adjustable Acoustic Guitar.
It has no cracks/breaks or previous repairs. As we are all aware the bridge on these is the weak link. This bridge is original and the best of any of these I have seen. It is hanging in there just fine and doesn't need any attention at this time. It has an interesting saddle currently installed. The original (not pictured) is included and in the case.
There is a patch of electrical tape on the back that was installed by the original owner (I purchased the guitar from his son) to keep his belt buckle from scratching the guitar. I did not want to remove it since it has been there longer than I have been alive! There is no evidence of any cracking from the inside. I'm 99% sure it is really there for the belt buckle protection.
The frets are in good shape and the guitar plays very well. It needs nothing.
Because of the bridge, these guitars have a lighter sound than a typical standard bridge J45/J50. They record extremely well and are just fun to play.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional pictures.
