Vintage 1950’s “Cha Cha” pedal-operated maracas by Sunnyside Music, Long Island City, NY. Rare mid-century Latin percussion accessory featuring two red wooden maracas mounted to a spring-loaded foot pedal for hands-free rhythm playing. Original “Pat. Pend.” label intact.
Constructed of wood, metal, and painted maracas with decorative floral accents. Shows age-related wear including paint loss, oxidation, scratches, and surface rust. Seems to work, but will need some fine tuning and probably a new spring. Sold as-is.
