This is a 1981 Gibson Victory MVII. It’s a well used player’s grade guitar. Plays great. All original pickups and hardware. The neck pickup is a Velvet Brick and the bridge is a Magna II. These guitars were a unique design from Gibson. Around the late 70s and early 80s they started experimenting with coil splitting. This guitar has a small coil split switch for both pickups giving it more versatility in tonal options. The bridge was also a unique design for the time. It’s a top adjust bridge which gives different position settings to use for intonation. Originally the bridge would have come with interchangeable nylon and brass saddles. This guitar only has the nylon ones. It also has the original posi-lock strap pegs.

Being a player’s grade there are lots of wear spots but nothing detrimental to the playability and function. The neck has a ding at the tenth fret where your thumb might hit but I never had an issue with it. The finish is orange pealed which was a known reaction with the base and top coats.
The neck is a three piece maple and the body is a four piece maple. It’s not a light guitar but not overly heavy.

When last opening the pick guard to fix the pickup adjustment screw springs, the original ground wire broke. I had to add a screw and attach a new wire to the remaining original ground wire. Everything works perfectly fine. Can see the repair in the pictures.
It’s a great guitar that plays well. Comes with original hard shell case. I’d keep it but just need the money for other interests.
