Built specifically for the Japanese domestic market, this variant is highly regarded globally for its build quality, which frequently rivals or exceeds its American counterparts of the same era. The bound maple neck with pearloid block inlays is the definitive visual statement of the 1970s Jazz Bass era. A notable aesthetic quirk unique to the JB75 model from this specific timeframe is that it carries a "Made in Japan" logo decal on the front of the headstock, but a "Crafted in Japan" decal alongside the O-serial number at the base of the neck heel. The US suffix signifies that this instrument came factory-equipped with upgraded Fender USA vintage single-coil pickups rather than standard Japanese domestic electronics, as indicated by the sticker on the pickguard.
