Up for sale is a KILLER 2006 Fender American Vintage ’52 Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde. This is a super clean and incredibly well kept example that was just given a pro set up with a set of 9-42 gauge strings so it plays fantastic with a straight neck, low action, and spot on intonation. These mid-2000s AVRI Telecasters remain some of Fender’s best vintage-style production instruments and continue to become more desirable as players recognize just how well these were built.

This example is completely original and features untouched solder joints and all factory electronics. One interesting and important detail on this guitar is the lack of a serial number on the bridge plate. Fender shipped many of these AVRI ’52 Telecasters with both the traditional 3 brass saddle bridge plate with the serial number stamped into it as well as a modern 6 saddle bridge assembly for improved intonation. This guitar retains only the factory Fender 6 saddle bridge, which does not have a serial number stamped into it. The neck heel is factory dated March 28th, 2006 and all signs, including the American Flag sticker that adorned the neck plate in 2006, point to this being a completely original.

Tone-wise, these are everything you want from a great vintage-style Telecaster. The ash body and maple neck combination delivers plenty of snap, twang, warmth, and clarity while still retaining that unmistakable woody Tele midrange character. Acoustically, it’s incredibly resonant and alive sounding. And weighing in at 6.8lbs, it’s a featherweight and very comfortable to play. The factory American Vintage pickups sound excellent and are among Fender’s better vintage-inspired Tele pickup sets from the era with bright articulate highs, punchy mids, and excellent dynamic response.

Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good plus condition overall and clearly spent most of its life carefully stored away. There is zero fret wear and the guitar honestly appears barely played. The finish still presents beautifully with vibrant lacquer throughout. There are some light pick scratches on the pickguard, a small chip at the top of the headstock, some tiny dings scattered throughout as well as some light swirls and scratches in the clear coat from handling and cleaning. see pics condition and please excuse any reflections.

The original tweed hard case, ashtray bridge cover, strap, paperwork, and case candy are all included.

-Nut Width: 1.625”

-Neck Thickness: .845” at 1st fret / .935” at 12th fret

-Weight: 6lbs 12.2oz

This guitar will ship out fully insured and require a signature upon delivery.
