About the Horseman

Inspired by the legendary Centaur-style transparent overdrive circuit, the NUX Horseman offers two selectable voices — Gold Mode for classic transparent overdrive and Silver Mode for a higher-gain, expanded drive sound — all in a pocket-sized stompbox format.

Use it as a clean boost, a light, transparent drive, or a natural-sounding overdrive, making it a solid choice for pushing an amp, stacking with other pedals, or adding touch-sensitive gain to a pedalboard.

Gold Mode
recreates a classic transparent overdrive sound with warm, amp-like breakup.

Silver Mode
offers an expanded gain range for a more powered-up overdrive tone.

Three-knob control layout: Treble, Gain, and Output Level.

Clean boost capability
when set with low gain and higher output, useful for pushing amp channels or stacking with other drive pedals.

Natural distortion character
using Schottky diode clipping designed to replicate the waveform clipping style of the original circuit.

Built-in voltage converter design
that drives the internal circuit at 18V-style headroom from a standard 9V power supply.

Selectable True Bypass or Buffered Bypass operation.

Buffered bypass option
useful for larger pedalboards to help reduce signal loss across long chains.

Standard 1/4-inch input and output jacks.

9V center-negative DC power input.

Mini pedalboard-friendly enclosure measuring approximately 3.7" x 2.0" x 2.08" and weighing about 6 oz.
